Database problem. Cant get into my Poker Tracker 3

When I start PT3, instead of running, it pops up window "Configure PostgreSQL Database", I click Connect, another window pops up: "Unable to create/connect PostgreSQL database:xxxxx Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused, etc."

Yesterday everything was ok. Please help

Click Start type services.msc and click on it when it appears. Is the PostgreSQL service running? If not, can you start it?

I have similar problem that happened today. I am using PT4 and yesterday it was working without a problem. Today when I start it, I get message: Unable to login to database (postgres). Reason: could not connect to server... Rest is same like 33asy error.

I can't start it. After a while I get message: could not start postgreSQL Database service on local computer.
Error 1053: the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

What can I do now?

Have you installed or updated any anti-virus/firewall/anti-spyware programs on your machine lately? Those can interfere with PostgreSQL starting up - which is what it sounds like is happening to you.

I had regular update for antivirus program, that is it. I tried to turn off antivirus and then run PT, but I get same problem. Any idea what to try next?

What anti-virus software are you using?

Avira free version.

Please make sure you have set exceptions for PokerTracker and PostgreSQL's directories in Program Files.

It that doesn't get things started up for you, please create a support ticket and we'll help you further troubleshoot this issue.

I have the same problem and I have tried the suggestions above but it does still not work.
When I tried to start the PostgreSQL service manually (Start type services.msc and click on it when it appears) I received the following error message "error type 1069".

Any ideas what to do?
