One Posgre Server for both Mac and Windows

Hi, I have PT3 installed on my MacBook.
In additional I've installed Windows 7 system with the help of Paralells tool, so I can run simultaneously both Mac and Windows programs.
On the "windows side" I 've installed windows based PT3 too - so I can now play on the poker rooms which have only Windows client.
I dont use both PT3s simultaneously - only one a time, windows based or Mac based.
Both Mac and Windows PT3s have separate Data base and separate Postgre server, so if I would like to have just the same hands base I have to backup-restore this base.
Is it possible for both PT3s have only ONE data base? If yes, can you explain me please , the way to do it.
I tried to add DBs from windows side or from MacOS side, but both PT3s do not "see" each other and their DBs.

Yes, it is possible to use the same database by having PostgreSQL installed on your Mac host. Check out this tutorial which explains how to do it.
