Hello,
I have recently purchased PT 4 and stucked by "Configure PostreSQL Database". There was no problem with cooperation with PT 3 I used to use. However after all the problems now I have even tried to reinstall PostgreSQL and still getting response:
"Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT4 DB
Reason: Unable to execute query: ; Reason: Empty Query ()"
Any idea please?

First let's make sure PostgreSQL is installed and functioning. Click Start type services.msc and click on it when it appears. Can you find PostgreSQL in the list and is the server running?

Well, I have been trying all day... everything I have reinstalled at least for ten times (testing even the older version of postgreSQL) and result is big s...nothing.
Funny thing is that when I have installed PT 3 new database was no problem to create but the very same process in PT 4 gives still the mentioned error.
I'm getting desperate.

So you can create a PT3 database but not a PT4 one? Please try reinstalling PT4 then - it's possible that may get things working for you.

Finaly! Problem solved by changing destination folder of PT 4... It is interesting that this can effect the functionality. Someone should figure out why this can happen...
However, thank you kraada for your responses.
