So I downloaded PT3 and when I try to run the program I keep getting the same 2 error messages. What am I doing wrong?

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT3 DB
Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?



PokerTracker cannot operate without a PostgreSQL database

i don't know what you're doing wrong. I installed postgesql with no problems on my HP Vista ultimate. Postgresql website should give you the readme file and proceed from there. Go there. Pokertracker 3 installation went well too. I had no problems with it. It's going great. Played at pokerstars and autoimported hand histories with no problems.

OP, read How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password which will more than likely resolve your issue.
