postgres probs

just after i entered my registration code i got a window that popped up that said postgresql server info
it says server: localhost Database User: postgres port 5432 then asks for a password that i dont ever remember creating. i have downloaded the version with postgresql and i am running vist. dont really know what to do to make it work

ive done all of the things that it says to do in the tutorial and i am gettinga a message that says unable to connect to this database please check configuration

Try dbpass. If it doesn't work, disable passwords:

I have done both of these and still cannot get it to work
