Unable to login database (PT3 db)

Hi,

I just had this PT 3 working yesterday, and it worked fine. But today when I try to launch the PT3, it says:
"Unable to login database (PT3 DB) Reason: server closed the connection unexpectedly. This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request."
Please note that I have tried to "start service" and reboot my computer

What to do?

what happens when you start the service manually? does it get going or gets stuck starting?

Hi

I was somehow able to fix manually this proble, I opened the "manage" under my computer -> services, stopped postgreSQL, and started it again. It seems to me that stopping and starting it from the menu-bar doesn't work... Still, PT3 occassionnally declares some error messages concerning database but I have so far been able to fix them likewise.

is it still set to auto start on boot in the services.msc snap-in?
