installation postgreSQL failed

First of all, the postgreql included with the tracker package (latest version; I just got - bought it) doesn’t seem to get well with vista.
Thus, I followed the recommendations seen on the forum: installing postgre 8.2 instead of 8.3.
But I get different ‘error’ messages.
Could someone tell me how to easily install pocker tracker (and the add-ins)???
I am not a beginner at all but it seems so complicated on my computer.
I don’t have any firewall.
I have avast antivirus installed but there is no difference if avast does’nt run on my computer.
Marc

I ave captured the different screens but it seems that this site doesn't accept them.

If I enter a password, the following message appears:
Invalid username ...

If I keep the same password but just changing the account domain into ‘MARC’, the message is:
The user Marc\postgres was not found. Would you like the account to be created for you?

If I push the ‘oui’ (yes) button,
The password appears weak, etc.

I decide to keep my password as it is complex enough (7 digits and/or letters)

I push on ‘non’ (no)

A 'Initialise database cluster' window appears:
I enter another password, as it is recommended

Followed by an ‘error’ message:

User 'posgres' could not be created. Access denied
Installation ended prematurely because of an error.
