updating postgreSQL to 8.2.9

Postby six4withafro » Thu Jul 10, 2008 12:52 am

i'm aware that 8.3.3 is the latest release, but i still use PAH/PT2 so i'm installing 8.2.9. i just want to clarify: i don't need to uninstall pg 8.0 first, right? postgres has its own parition on my pc so i'm manually selecting the location, D:\PostgreSQL\8.2\

there's already \8.0 in that folder, and there definitely isn't room for both of them on that partition -- 18GB just doesn't go as far as it used to. :)

also, i backed up my pt2 db's from within the program and my pt3 db from pg admin. i'll be able to restore both to their respective programs, right?

thanks for responding
