1 database over 2 computers

i currently have my db on my desktop but i would also like to have the same db on the laptop i just bought. is there a way i can maintain 1 database over 2 computers. i dont know if its a problem that one is vista and the other is xp. but ideally i would like to be able to play on either computer and be importing hands than have the other computer be caught up to speed.

one idea i had was to copy my original DB onto my laptop than whenver i play hands from a computer copy the hands that i played and import them on the other computer (turn off 'move proccessed hh' and just copy them on to like a thumbstick drive or w/e and import')

is this the easiet way?

postgres will support networking a single database:

If you don't want to network the DB, yes, you can just copy the hand history files between computers.
The best way to do this would be to still use the 'move processed files to' option, and then when you want to sync up the other computer you move all files from the 'processed' folder onto your thumb-drive. After you've copied them onto the other computer, move them off the thumbdrive to wherever you want to back them up.

you cannot just "copy & paste" the database - sorry it doesn't work like that...

either do as whiterider says and move the hh's around (time consuming and easy to get out of step...) or network the one database by following the instructions in the link.
