im trying to install this and it keeps stopping at an error about the password being to long or short..

is this common? what do i need to do to fix this?

How are you installing postgres? Are you doing it manually, or are you letting PT3 do it for you?

You need to enter a REALLY complicated password, like including non-alphanumeric characters.
There should be an option to allow postgres to create a password for you? I suggest you let it do that.

When prompted in the installation to enter a password, ensure that your password is at least 10 characters long, with one capital letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one symbol. Once your password meets these requirements, it will be accepted.
