Could you get us some log files to look at from both of those cases? That will help us figure out if it's just a performance issue or if it's something else - you're one of the first people to take this from the realm of the theoretical into the realm of the actual so getting this information from you now would be very useful. (For more on creating and sending us log files, see this tutorial.)

No, problem. I am currently at work and will open the ticket in about 4 hours.

I will send you the following file from my next MTB10 session:
- PokerTracker.log
- PokerTrackerHUD.log
- Definition of the new colums
- Definition of the new stats
- a screen shot with HUD on for one table
- a screen shot with HUD with ten tables

If you need anything else, just let me now.

Here are some information about my setup which might be usefull:
- PT3 and PS client running on a single core 1,2 GHz, 2 GB RAM with Microsoft XP
- I create a new PT3 DB every year, so current one is PT3 DB 3
- I vacuuming, analyzing and updating cache daily, i.e. after each daily session.
- for performance reasons PostgreSQL server 8.3 providing PT3 DB is running on a faster laptop (Acer travel Mate 77xx) running Windows 7
- connected via 100MBit LAN using IPv4 (Cable connected not Wireless since that would actually decrease performance)
- in addition to the recent discussed custom stats I use 3 additional integer columns in table players that reflect their (skill, games played, stake). I use this columns to color the displayed stats (VP$IP, PFR, Total AF), e.g. green VP$IP reflects a "good" player the according value in players.sc_skill would be a 5, while a red PFR would reflect a total newbie with less than 50 tournaments, the according value in players.sc_gp would be 1 and so on. SC = self customized, i.e. I manually put that data in when I do review sessions.

If you come across those fields, during your analysis feel free to ask and i will explain that in a more detailed way.

As an IT manager and former database engineer I am not afraid of tech talk. So if you come across anything you don't have to choose your most "user friendly"-language ;)
I have a quite good understanding of the underlying DB-modell of PT3 and of course SQL-Statements. I am average at poker and obv suck at english 8-)

looking forward to reading from you in a few hours

And just to confirm the SC stats alone don't cause any problems?

No problems at all. I run that setup for more than 2 years now without any difficulties until yesterday, when I duplicated stats with the same color coding.
The 3 fields itself contain integer values from 1 to 7 or NULL and do not change during runtime. It is used for a very simple way of color coding.
These fields are properly defined at colums-tab of PT3

Color Tab for VP$IP looks like:

sc_skill = 1 RED True False
sc_skill = 2 ORANGE True False
sc_skill = 3 YYELLOW True False
sc_skill = 4 GREY True False
sc_skill = 5 LIGHT GREEN True False
sc_skill = 6 DARK GREEN True False
sc_skill = 7 BLUE True False

similar for PFR using sc_gp and AF using sc_stakes

But to be on the safe side i will provide their definitions (SQL in postgres, and PT3 column) and the color coding within the ticket.

Ticket_id=107245 sent!

I played a full MTB10 session with log enabled and took 8 screenshots. All stats and column definitions are attached as well along with the HUD config files.
If anything is unclear just post it hear.

In the screenshots you can see that Hero's stats are not displayed - even at high blind phase.
For each phase I attached at least on fullscreen and on shot of a single table.
In the Fullscreen ones you can find a shot of HUD-General options on the right side of the screen.

For easier analysis I added a text to the second line of the HUD indicating if it currently shows stats from LBP, MBP, or HBP.

really hope that helps identifying the cause.

We'll definitely look into it to see what we can figure out.

Please keep everyone posted on the resolution. I sometimes run into a situation where changing/adding some (complex) stats results in Hero stats no longer displaying. Couldn't really put my finger on how this happened, and once it went away didn't try to reproduce.

@pasita: From what we found out so far it seems that Hero's stats are not displayed whenever you use custom stats that are not properly cached.
While the reason why those stats are not properly cached might be individual and complex and cant be generalized. tbc....
