This may seam like a pretty obvious question but would your hud still collect data if you were sitting out?

It varies by poker site but for the most part the answer tends to be no.

Yea i just read up on the rules a little bit and it's a sticky situation. Think the safe thing would be to not to do it. Especially since the amount of frozen accounts on FTP keeps going up i see no reason to give them a reason.

FTP doesn't write observed hands to your computer any longer - there is nothing for PT3 or PTv2 to import no matter how long you sit there.
