Tutorial: Vista-How to Disable 'User Account Control' (UAC)

Postby APerfect10 » Sat Feb 16, 2008 1:43 pm

If you are running Microsoft Vista and are having trouble either creating a log file or popup stats are not working, it may be required for you to disable "User Account Control" (UAC) and then reinstall PokerAce Hud.

To Disable UAC:
  1. Click your Start button and open the "Control Panel".
  2. Select "User Accounts and Family Safety.
    • Note: This step can be skipped if in Classic View
  3. Select "User Accounts".
  4. Click "Turn User Account Control on or off".
  5. Uncheck "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" then click OK.
  6. You must now restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
  7. Once your computer restarts, reinstall the latest version of PokerAce Hud over top of your existing installation
You should now be able to successfully create a log file and/or your popup stats should now work.
Best regards,
