In the current HUD there is a filter to "show stats from the last xxx hands only". I would love to be able to only "show stats a since a specific date"

If I were to set the current filter of "Show stats from the last 10,000 hands only" a player that plays 15,000 hands a month would be much more current then a player that plays 1,000 hands a month. That player's tendancies 6-8 months ago might not be as useful today.

So I think having the ability to filter stats based on dates would be GREAT.

I agree and this should be possible in the upcoming PT3 Hud.

Is there a new estimated target date for the official release of PT3 and HUD?

We are hoping to have the HUD out by the beginning of April. Official PT3 release is still tentatively scheduled for the end of April.

You cannot filter the HUD by date, but you can have it display the last X hands for each player.
See the Tutorial: Configuring HUD Options.
Please bear in mind that this prevents use of the cache so if you have a large database this may cause performance problems.

Excuse me, the filter HUD stats based on dates is very important thing for me. APerfect10 said that this should be possibe in the upcoming hud but nothing happened. Here is some interesting picture http://www.pokertracker.com/forums/down ... &mode=view . I check it out in my PT3 and I dont have observed hands databases like in the picture. Was those databases manually created? If I understand well I would create independent databases which should help me to filter hands by dates.

I think I have found result how to filter database by date.There is one way via second database. First you have to export hands that you have played since time which you want filter. Then create new database and export those hands there. At the end you must set new database activated.

To "filter" the HUD by date that is what you will need to do, yes.
