MOVING PT2 to NEW PC PROBLEM

Postby OldBloke » Wed Feb 17, 2010 7:19 am

I have read the various guides on what to do but can't find an answer to this problem.
When I open the 'postgresSQL database functions tab' I get a message telling me to go to the 'postgresSQL settings' tab.
So I open that tab, but the 'OBDC entry to use' box is blank and the prog doesnt allow me to complete it. What can I do?
PT3 and postgreSQL are already on the new PC (Win 7) . I'm doing this so that I can restore the PT2 DB from my old PC and then convert it for use on PT3.
Thanks for your assistance.

Pat I have now discovered that you cover this problem under the postgreSQL forum.
Since I've already got hands in PT3 the whole process looks a bit tricky for me.
\Thanks anyway.

Just use the Utilities > Export Hand Histories To File option in PT2 to export the hands to text files which you can import into PT3 using their manual import window.
