Unable to find my database

Postby harmonica » Fri Oct 24, 2008 7:47 am

Hi

I had PT open and importing hands from FT when there was a power cut for like a second and I had to start my computer back up. When I opened PT I got this message:

So I click 'Ok' then I get this:

So if I click ok again it just goes back to these 2 messages so I click cancel and I get this:

So I tried repairing the database then once it finished I get the first message again so I click cancel and get this message:

Image

I click ok then I get this:

I clicked on the ring game icon and then went into preferences and selected all dates under the sessions dates and it appears that all my August 08 - Now hands have disappeared, could you please tell me how to fix this?.

Thanks

Lee

Go to the Start menu and select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)

Click on the System DSN tab

Click on the entry PTRACK3 and click the Configure button.

On the next window, click the Repair button and then OK again when prompted. When it's completed, try running PT again.

Hi Pat

It's actually a problem with PTRACK13, sorry about that I am pretty crap with the photobucketing stuff. So I looked where you told me but couldn't find PTRACK13 in there, the only files I could find where:

PTRACK
PTRACK2
PTRACK3
PTRACK4
PTRACK5
PTRACK6
PTRACK7
PTRACK8
PTRACKHH
PTREG2

That's the name of the db file, it doesn't always reflect the DSN name. So what you have to do is click on each PTRACKN entry (where "N" is a number 2, 3, etc) and click the Configure button. On the next window it will list the file name associated with that entry right above the Repair button. Look for the entry that has the db file listed as ptrack13.mdb - that's the one you want to repair.
