What site are the hands from? Full Tilt? If so, the problem is their hand histories not PT. Some of the hands have multiple players listed in the same seat at the start of a hand. You would have to look in the hand history file and remove any hand you see like this in order for the other hands to import.

Go to the Utilities/Database Maintenance and Options window.

Click on the database description text at the top left corner of the window.
Then hit the F11 key on your PC. This will cause another tab to appear
called "Orphaned Data". You will need to use the little arrow icons that
appear at the top right corner of the tab to scroll to see this new tab.

Click on the "RingCheck" button. This may take a little while to run
especially if you have a lot of hands so just let it come back and prompt
you when it's done. Once it comes back, click the "Fix Now" button. This
will run through and clean up all the orphaned records so that you can
import the hands again.

Ok did that and this message came up- The orphaned records have been cleaned up. However there appears to be a problem with your database where a relationship between 2 tables has been deleted somehow.

I would suggest then that you start a new database or convert the current database to PostgreSQL

Just started a new database. Just for future reference though do you have any idea what caused this problem.
