Stars tournament summary not importing

Postby rabbitlover » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:33 am

As of this morning I am not getting Stars tournament summary to import. They were fine at about 1am ET, but not now.
The dialog box pops as usual and says it imported but with errors. The Error Message Log is "Fee amount is not a valid number".
Looking at the hand histories, they look the same as they have; and identify this tournament as $4.40 180 player tournament; nothing seems unusual.

My PT2 is 2.17.03j

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks

OK Pat, here is the Summary text as it shows up in my e-mail. I need to mention that even though PT2 says it imported but with errors, nothing is filled in PT2 in the Tournament Results box; it is as if it did not import at all.

I had the same problem, solved it by deleting the " USD" (excluding quotes, include the prepended space) from the line starting: "Buy-In: $4.00/$0.40.....". This is a change from yesterday in the Tourney Summary formats sent by email by PS. Save the email to a text file, edit as suggested, save and reimport.

That's correct, they just added that. They added it to the hand histories too but those import. I will have to fix the issue with the summaries, until then as JimmyM says, remove the "USD" or "EUR" or whatever currency indicator is used and save the file and reimport until I can get a patch out.

installed the 2.17.04g patch tonight, but still having this exact problem. summaries won't import, but if I delete " USD" from the file, they import ok.

error message on the unedited file is "File contains no Texas Hold'em hands or unable to determine what poker site this file came from."

That's not the error message you would get having USD in the text of the summary. How are you saving the file that you are trying to import? Are you sure it's not saved as Unicode instead of ANSI text at first before you remove the "USD" text?

1st attempt was through pop3 email, same setup I've had forever. Then I copy/paste to a .txt, find/replace to get rid of USD, and it works fine.

------- edit-------
oops-- this may be something wrong with my email client. Just tried emailing the edited version to myself and it still doesn't work. checking into it...
