Hey Pat i took your advice and converted the DB to PSQL all went smoothly with my playing DB, but my mined DB (the one i had the problems with) is not showing up in PAHUD.

When i open PAHUD>Databases i now see one PSQL and one access DB instead of two PSQL.

From searching i think that the problem is maybe the DB has not registered in PT?
However the DB is working fine in regards to mining importing etc its just not showing in PAHUD.
Any ideas? tyvm

Open the File > Maintain Database Names window in PT.

Do you see 2 entries there with a db type of "PostgreSQL"?

Yes both db say PSQL port 5432.
Dont know if its relevant but the mined DB is not the default DB.

That's weird then that PA wouldn't find those databases.

Try adding another pointer to the observed hands db. Click the Add button, enter a new description (i.e "Observed 2") and then in the last field choose "Select existing PostgreSQL database" and choose the observed db from the list again.

Save the changes by clicking OK then close PT and PA and open PA again and see if it now recognizes this new entry that you added.

Hi Pat i figured id post this here rather than start a new thread im again having probs with my mined PSQL DB.
When i try to open it i get this message

" unable to connect to the database
101 - SQLSTATE = 08001
could not connect to the database:connection refused (0x0000247d/10061)
is the server running on "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?"

So i went PSQL settings and it appears to be running on localhost and 5432.
Any ideas? ty

Was it working before?
Are you still able to import your own hands into the other PostgreSQL database?

Go to the c:\program files\postgresql\8.2\data folder. Is there a file called postmaster.pid there? If so, delete it and restart the computer and then see if it can connect again.
