Modify a database

Postby mauib2002 » Fri Mar 13, 2009 4:23 pm

How can i modify a database ?
The problem is that i have the same player with two different names (just a little different, because of an import error).
How can i aggregate this two names into one ??

Thanks for your answer...

What's the rest of the error message? There must be more than this.

There is more but is in italian...

Because i'm Italian...

-1605- SQLSTATE = 23000
[Microsoft][Driver ODBC Microsft Access] It is not possible to modify because it has been tried to duplicate the values in the index, in the primary key or in the relation.

Sorry for my bad translation...

If it gives you that error then it's because the alias you are trying to create, the name you selected must have at one point also played in a hand against the name you are trying to alias to. That is the only way you would get that error. Doing an alias against names that have played together is not allowed.
