Betfair & PT2

Can anyone just confirm the situation regarding the new betfair software and PT2. i.e. it worled on the old Betfair will it work on the new Betfair. cheers

It may or may not, I honestly do not know - if it does not work though, PT2 will not be updated to fix it.

"Betfair 2" is OnGame so it should work, although it is possible that the OnGame software has changed since the last PT2 update.

OnGame is not an icon for auto downloading of hand histories, unless its under another name? In addition I cannot find my hand histories in the new Betfair software. Any positive contributions and help appreciated

OnGame is called "PokerRoom" in PT2, sorry.

Hi again White Rider

I am following the instructions in the help menus on PT2 to set up on Poker Room but I am unsure about one point. i.e. As there is no apparent facility on the new Betfair Skin to enable statistics am I correct in assuming I have to download and register on the actual 'Poker Room' site to enable the statistics there before PT2 will read the Betfair database. Hope that was clear !

No, you do not need to download the Poker Room client in order to get hand histories from your Betfair skin. You should be able to find them in
C:\Documents and Settings\name\Local Settings\Application Data\P5\pokersite\handhistory for Windows XP, or C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\P5\pokersite/handhistory for Windows Vista / Windows 7.

I am afraid I am not having any success in locating the hand database. I cannot see past C:\Documents and Settings\name so I am thinking these hands are not being written by the new Betfair site. I also searched for *.db and nothing was found. Any further ideas would be appreciated.

They are no longer written to .db files - they are now in plain text files.
The folder is a hidden folder so you'll need to enable those in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options) if you want to open the folder manually.
