I don't know which hand history file has caused this error?

You can try reindexing as detailed here
http://www.pokertracker3.com/forums/arc ... ex+pgadmin

You can just reindex the GAME_PLAYERS table as that is the one causing the error.

I've already did this recently? Why do I need to do it again? Last time took over 3 days to reset; is there any way around this?

Thanks for your help.

Because that is the only way I've seen to get around this problem. This error generally means the index is corrupted.

Do you have a recent backup of the database from before this error started? If so, you could restore from that and reimport your hand history files, that would probably be faster if it really takes that long to reindex.

Meh!

How long till PT3 is fully operational? :)

p.s

If I start the re-indexing, will I be able to play using my old data for my hud etc?

Thanks

This problem has nothing to do with PT2, it's the PostgreSQL database that is corrupted. This could be caused by something on your computer, a bad disk, etc.

If you have PokerAce setup to read from other databases then it should be able to do that while this database is being reindexed.

Ok, I've right clicked and reindex my database. It currently states in the sql pane: ("player_id); then in the windows task pane it states: "retrieving table details...done" but in the maintain table game_player windows I am unable to click 'ok'. Last time I left it for 2-3 days and I was still unable to click ok, so I closed the program and it seemed to have worked...

Pat, have you gone through this process before? Is there anything I can go by to tell that it has completed correctly?

Are you able to import now without the errors? If so then it should be ok. I've never seen any reindex take as long as you said it did last time. Usually it's a matter of minutes and possibly longer for larger databases.
