The problem isn't with PostgreSQL, it's with that Access database. It's corrupted.
Is there a file called ptrack_backup.mdb in the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder?

The ODCB thingee died again when running the repair on the old Ptrack db.

Soooooo, can anything be saved?

Since I'm starting over, can you point me in the right direction to run a Postgresql db from scratch (not a conversion)? And I can just erase the ptrack.mdb and handhx.mdb?

If you don't want to try to recover the data then all you have to do is go to the File > Maintain Database Names window.
Remove the current PostgreSQL db entry there because it didn't work so it shouldn't be there.
Then click the Add button, enter a description and in the last field choose "Create new, empty Access database" from the list.
Click OK to save, when prompted, tell it to not copy anything from the old db.
Now, open the Utilities > Convert Database window and select this new db to be converted.
This should take about a minute.
After it's done, go back to the File > Maintain Database Names window, make this new PostgreSQL the "Dflt" by checking the box. Then save the changes and CLOSE AND REOPEN PT. You will now be ready to import into this new db.

If you are importing observed hands from FTP or Party, open the auto-import window, click on the Observed Hands tab and then click the "..." button there and select the new PostgreSQL db from that list as well.

Thanks so much, that was the help I was looking for.

SO, can I use the ODBC to remove the old PTPGSQL1 Postgresql db? How can I erase it? I need more hard drive space and these old, now useless files are taking up many gigs.

To actually delete that DB, after you remove the entry from the Maintain Database Names window, go to the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window and then in the delete section, select that db from the list and then click the Remove button and it will delete the files from the hard drive.
