Full Tilt update for July 8 2009

Pat, when you received the files to import, is there any chance an implicit conversion occurred somewhere changing the unicode files to ascii?

From what little I know about Unicode, some OS's support it and might convert it automatically as needed.
I'm running XP.

After installing the patch, and receiving an error message, followed by termination of the program, I followed these instructions. When I clicked the View Log link, I received an error message: "The log file does not yet exist."

What errors?? Be specific. If the log file doesn't exist, it means you didn't even tried to import any hands yet.

They were still Unicode. I just unzipped the files into my hand history folder and hit the force import button and it went through and loaded all 4 files without error. Do you still have the ZIP file? Try extracting the 4 files back to your hand history folder replacing the ones that are there and see if it imports.

BTW, does that file, ftp_converted_file.txt , exist in the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder. That is the file PT is using to import, not your actual hand history file.

Moved the larger file out of the directory and retried the import. Got the memory error--this time it only reported 3 files found.

You had 4 files that were there when you sent me the C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\HandHistory\[your user name] folder. Moving one would leave 3, so that should be right.

Try restarting your computer and then download and install the 2.17.04a patch again. It seems to be working fine for other users so I don't know why it would be giving these errors for you. Are you using Vista?

Also, go to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder. Is there a file called ftp_converted_file.txt there?

Yes, there is a ftp....txt file there. I'll try restarting, etc. Can't see why this would help though.

WinXP SP3 german.

Are you able to open that file? What does it look like? Is it empty, if not, what is the size of it?

What your PostgreSQL settings are set to has no impact on this issue.

OK, after receiving the error message: "Error: Access violation at 0x7C80A3C4 (tried to read from 0x08C70000), program terminated.", I opened the log file, hit Ctrl A, deleted it all, saved the file, then hit Force Import...

Received the same Access Violation error message and program termination again.

I could open it. It is 27 KB. Looks like the hand history file from Orchard Port.

I rebooted my PC, reinstalled the patch and got the same out of memory error with 4 files this time (from the zip file).
