I am running PT2 with Postgres. Since my last backup/compact I recently stared playing at FTP and downloaded PAhud 1.19.5 beta. I have never entered tournament summaries. I have a huge, multiyear db that I moved to Postgres quite a while ago.

I'm getting multiple errors and am not making progress on my own.

I tried to compact my poker db multiple times and got an [quote3ar]"Error: Access violation at 07C918FEA (tried to write to 0x00000010), Program terminated." [/quote3ar]

Opening tournament player statistics and click on just my own stars id (no others), I get [quote3ar]"Select error: SQLSTATE = S1000 [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] not a valid bookmark." [/quote3ar]There is NO other information here, no mention of tables, etc.

After checking out the forum I tried the ODBC repair and got another error.

Trying to repair the db through the PT software I get the [quote3ar]"Error: access violation at 0x7C911E58 (tried to read from 0x00000000), program terminated." [/quote3ar]

Tournament table PAHud displayed stats on FTP are incomplete -- my stats show, but no other players, shows table avg pot size but no table VP$IP, etc.

I can and did compact HHx db. Ring game records seem to be fine.

I cannot compact, I cannot repair, the log doesn't show anything new. If you cannot help me fix it, can I save ring games, or rescue all players stats besides my own, or lose stats over a year old?

You have converted to PostgreSQL??

Because these errors you list are not PostgreSQL errors, they are from an Access database. When did you convert to PostgreSQL? If you did this, it sounds like you never changed your default database to be PostgreSQL instead of the old Access database.

So what do I do then? What did I miss?
I converted to Postgresql BEFORE formatting my hard drive four months ago. Maybe I didn't reinstall correctly? PT has been working and updating hud stats during play since the reinstall.
I have Postgresql on my system. After a session of my using PT, the program "Edit postgresql.conf" shows up in my Recent Shortcut Windows Start Menu. My ptrack.mdb file is 1.8 gb -- isn't that a Postgresql sized file?

Anyway, what now?

Open the File > Maintain Database Names window.
What database is checked as the "Dflt"? Is it the PostgreSQL DB or Access?? It should be the PostgreSQL database.

That's all you have there? If so, you haven't converted to PostgreSQL.

So I didn't set it up right. Thank you.

So I started the new Postgresql conversion and it got through several sections and I got [quotell1]Error:Acess violation at 0x1B0221F3 (tried to write to 0x00B37000), program terminated.)[/quotell1]

What can I try next?

OK, in spite of the error on postgresql conversion, I can read the new db without issue.

However, when starting PT, and when I changed the FullTilt observed hands db choice as instructed in the Postgresql/PT instructions, it will not allow me to save the postgres db as a choice and I get the following error [quotemh7]Error retrieving from the VERSION_INFO table. 3 -[/quotemh7]

I ran PT and PAhud with a round of an FTP ring game. Several hands were imported VERY slowly. I thought PT had seized up. As soon as it recovers from it's second round of imports, I'll do a vacuum/analyze and check it in the morning.

That first errors is likely the reason for the second, the conversion didn't finish because of the first error therefore some tables didn't get converted which is the reason for the second.

It sounds like the Access db file is corrupted. Go to the File > Maintain Database Names window and double-click on the Access db name (the one associated with ptrack.mdb), it will open a window to tell you the size of this file. What is the size of it?

Also, I don't know if this will work but, with Poker Tracker closed, try repairing the database following the steps listed here:

I tried this ODBC repair prior and got an error message. I'm trying it again.
Can I try to fix the new, postgresql db? It shows in the ODBC menu.
