Can't import PS tournament summaries with 2.17.03j

Since upgrading to PT 2.17.03j, I cannot import Pokerstars tournament summaries from email.

I get this weird error message which is a separate title bar below the PT2 window. It says "Database Error" in the title bar.

I have never had problems previously importing tournament summaries. This started last week, when I tried to import my last 30 tournaments. It processed normally, said it was updating the tournament summary records, then this weird title bar appeared. I tried it three times with the same result.

I waited a week, then tried importing my last 6 tournaments. These were all new tournaments. None of them were in the previous email import. Same result.

I am using PosgtgreSQL 8.3.6.

No. Like I said, it is a title bar completely separate from the PT2 window. In the title bar, it says "Database Error". Nothing else.

I've never seen it give a database error window without putting a description of the error in the text of the window. I have no idea what would caused this. Restart the computer and do the import again. Do you get any error messages when you FIRST START PT? Can you tell if the PostgreSQL service is still running?

I tried your restart suggestion. Before doing so, I used pgadmin III to reindex all PostreSQL tables and cluster them by their major key. Then I did a vaccuum full/analyze. Then I rebooted, started Pokertracker, and tried importing the tournament summary email again. No joy.

What's weird is that, when this problem first started, PT2 would go through its complete routine, loading all the players from the tournament summaries, before the "Database Error" title bar was displayed. Now, I just get two messages before the title bar is displayed --

Status: Loading players from ring games
Status: Updating tournament records

Do you know if this "Database Error" title bar is coming from PT2 or PostgreSQL? It appears below and completely separate from the PT2 window.

Also, I recently upgraded from PostgreSQL 8.3.1 to 8.3.6. I am not sure if I have successfully imported any tournament summaries since the upgrade.

I can forward the tournament summary email to you if would like.

There should never be an error message in PT that doesn't have some kind of text description of what the error is so it may be the error is coming from somewhere else. Can you post a screen print of the error so I can see what it looks like?

That definitely doesn't look like it's coming from PT. Do you have anything else running, like PokerAce or any other software?
How are you importing the summaries? Are you using POP3 to import them from email or are you saving as a text file and importing the file?
Also, are hand histories importing? Does this only happen with the summaries?
