PokerTracker

I went to open up PTv2 today and AVG popped up and said that there was a trojan associated with this file. I clicked the heal button and it said the object was successfully healed. Then I clicked on my PT icon and it said the path was not valid. I went to the PTv2 program file folder and ptrackv2.exe has been deleted. I was going to try and redownload the software but I am not sure if this will work. Will the download contain a different serial number that will not unlock the program from the trial version. If it will unlock the full version then I assume every thing will be fine b/c it appears that no other files have been deleted.

AHHHHHHHH.... plz help!

I had the same problem this morning following the latest AVG update, using AVG Free 7.5.

I have just upgraded to the recently released AVG Free 8.0, allowed it to download the latest updates, and all is now well with the (my) world once again!

Ignore the above post!!! It has now decided not to work again... time to get on to AVG I guess?

Having the same problem. I installed the patch but whenever I click on it it says windows can't open the file and gives me one of those "do you want to manually select a file from the list or let the computer find it automatically" messages.

I had the same problem - AVG 7.5 Free edition was quarantining the ptrack exe file whenever it ran without even asking for confirmation or notifying me. I updated to AVG 8, and installed the patch found on the forum ptrackmike links to above and now it is working fine. But it's only been a little while so I will post again if there is another problem.

Are you sure you installed the patch? Is the ptrack2.exe file in your c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder?

I also had the same problem. Installing the patch didn't work.

Install the latest patch file again from the second link on this page, and NOT the full version:
http://www.pokertracker3.com/products/PTH/download.php

If it still tells you this then I suggest you send the file to AVG for them to check because it's worked fine for others and there wasn't a virus in the original to begin with.

have the same problem
i installed the patch again yesterday and everything was ok
then when i opened the computer today and i try to open PT it asks me if i am sure i want to uninstall PT and all of the other files related to it (i don't find the .exe file that opens PT)
i have instelled again the patch from the link u gave - but nothing happens, it still ask me every time if i want to uninstall it..(the icon that i have on my computer is the uninstall program and not pt icon as usuall)
