Open the Utilities > PostgreSQL Settings window. Click the the arrow in the dropdown list for the ODBC Entry To Use field. Are there values there or is the list empty?

Also, when I go into Database Functions i get...

Error #1
Unable to connect to PostgreSQL (port #: 5431) to get the list of databases and says that it is most likely due to the fact that the database server is not running on this port. This is the port it has always been on since I reinstalled PT.

Open the PostgreSQL Settings window. Make a note of the values you have selected here.

Now use the Remove button to remove the entry and then click the Add button and re-enter the information again. Then save and close and reopen PT.

When I try to do that...

Whether I add it first then remove the previous or I remove then add I have nothing to choose from in the ODBC Entry to use drop down box. An invalid data error box pops up and says please enter a value in the ODBC Entry to use field. I know it should say SQL Unicode, but it wont let me choose anything or type it in.

Whatever you installed must have wiped out the registry entries that PT is looking for then.
What version of PostgreSQL have you been running? Open the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services window.
Find PostgreSQL in the list, it will say what version it is in the text description (i.e. "PostgreSQL 8.2 database service").

If it's 8.2, then download and reinstall version 8.2
You can get the download file here:
http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/downloa ... .2.6-2.zip

When you go to reinstall it, when you get to the window that has "Initialize Database Cluster" at the top left corner - UNCHECK that box and click Next to continue. This will cause it to just try to use the db files that are currently on your computer.
