converting PT2 to postgres

Hello
I started the conversion 20 hours ago, the HHdb file is 666,856 KB (is this the file it is converting?)
I am doing this in preparation of upgrading to PT3.
The problem is I cannot check the progress of the conversion as PT2 is stuck on the taskbar, I cannot restore it and I dont know how long to wait.
Should I just restart the computer to stop the conversion or would this damage the database.
If I did this would it be quicker then to export the HHdb file to external file and then use PT3 to inport.

You should be able to kill the process. It shouldn't take that long, the database isn't that big.
You can also use the Utilities > Export Hand Histories To File option and import those files into PT3, it would probably be just as fast.

This week I have converted my data file. It works fine but I run PT2 on 2 computers and what I used to do before converting was to copy both the HH file and the PTrack.mdb file and paste those two to the other computer and the other computer has the current information.

Now I cannot find the database file so I have been playing on just one computer. Is the data file the whole data folder in PostgresSQL program. If not, where is it.

I tried restoring my backup on my vista computer but PT2 was missing the session I had just played on the other computer. Am I missing a step?

You need to do a backup using the PostgreSQL Database Functions window to backup the db on the one PC and then take that file to the other computer and restore it there using the same window.

If the other db had those hands in it when you did the backup then they should be in the db you restored. If you don't see them, make sure you don't have some filters set that might be preventing the data from showing...or do the backup/restore again.

Well, I got home and restored it like you suggested and does not show up in my database window "maintain". Any more suggestions?

Do I have to create an new access database, then convert it and then restore it?

If you hadn't restored this db before then you need to tell PT about this new database.

Well, I have got PT2 to see the new SQL DB and when I open it, it is blank, no information at all.

I am restoring from a backup from my other computer.
