re-installing pts

I autogenerated a password when setting up postgresql 8.3 for pt3. I was browsing through PTS documentation now and I read that I should not autogenerate the password when setting postgre. Why so? Will it cause any problems now that I will install PTS? Solution?

Do I still need to install postgresql 8.2.x for setting it up?

are "usd" changes(and any others) for pokerstars in the version through the download page? or do i have to patch it?

We don't encourage this because then people may forget what it is if they every need to use the PG Admin tool or have to re-setup PTS in the future.

If your ODBC Entry To Use dropdown is empty when you set up PG in PTS then you will.
