Installation of PostgreSQL

Can anyone help me wih the installation of PostgreSQL? it requires me some passwords. I read the FAQ on this topic and try to uninstall, but with no success. I am desperate.

The PostgreSQL uninstall/reinstall guides in the Documentation have all the steps needed to remove and reinstall PostgreSQL - which part are you having problems with?
