How do I change over from PT3 to PT4 ?

Yes, that's absolutely fine. PT3 and PT4 do not interfere with each other at all, other than the moving of processed files.
PT3 will continue to work, although we'll only be providing bug-fixes from now on - no new functionality.

I follow up the process you indicated and I imported all my PT3 hands (Mac) into PT4 (Win partition), it is now working beautifully. OMG!! this is definitely a jump to a new level guys!! Congrats this program looks amazing!.
