I think i remvoved it now. By installing the new version i have to select a directory under which to store the data. which do i have to chose?

Create a new directory on the C drive and call it PostgreSQL and install to it and you will likely have better luck.

i did so. now when installing i have to choose applications to install from the categories:1 Add-ons, tools and utilities...2 Database Drivers..3 Database Server..etc... which one do i have to choose?

I'm not sure what installer you're using - we don't need Stack Builder. You want the installer file here for 64 bit Windows, or if you're on 32 bit Windows, use this one.

i just stopped this stack builder and moved on. pokertracker message "PostgreSQL database PT4 DB successfully created". this should be done now, right? thanks alot for giving advice!
