i already did it....
No good answer, only to reimport all my hands.....great.

2 years database and pt4 only accept one folder at a time. All my hands are in a folder by DAY and by room. So great............

Please be patient - ticket replies can be a little slower at the weekend when we're a bit short-handed.

If you use Get Hands From Disk and select to import by directory that will import that folder and all subfolders.

Reinstalling PT4 will not help if PostgreSQL is not running. It sounds like you have PostgreSQL 9.0 working OK and if you have all your hand histories then you can import to a new database using that until we can check out whether your old 8.3 database can be recovered.

It's a sad fact of life that computer failures can cause file problems at any time, and you should always keep backups of your system, or at least any important files. PT4 has a Backup mechanism built in, and we recommend all users to make regular backups so that you can recover in the case of a computer issue like this.
However, if you have all of your hand histories then you can at least re-import from those into a new database.
It may also still be possible to recover your old database, but that will have to be done via your ticket.

ok good new....at least one. I finally sucess to reinstal pt4 and postgre 9.0.....To do that i manually do a search with "postgrsql" on my computer and delete everything....

So i'm going to open a new ticket to see if it's possible to get back my old 8.3 db but i think not....i have did a backup 6 month ago and pt doesn't want to take it so.....it's not good.

More than my hands history it's the notes taken on player when i replay my session. Years of hard work lost.....

At least PT4 work again with a recent postgre db.....

Thanks for your time.

If you deleted everything in your PostgreSQL folders then you will have deleted your database files. Can you restore what you deleted?
Your screenshot only shows the reference that PT4 has to your old database - if you have deleted your PostgreSQL folders then that database won't exist any more.

If you have a backup which won't restore we may be able to recover it. Please upload it to cloud storage (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) and share the link in your ticket.

The default location is something like C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.3\data\ but the database files there aren't human readable so you can't just look at them and see if it's still there (though if the base folder is large it's likely they are).
