It looks like PT4 is having trouble connecting to your databases - try following
these steps and that may get things working for you again.

i went about trying to configure the database but i could not find the following file when i went to resolve it.
then select the pg_hba.conf file which is normally found at C:/Programs Files/PostgreSQL/X.X/data/pg_hba.conf.
not sure what to do now

Be sure to replace X.X with whatever version of PostgreSQL you have.
