I am using Win7 on my mac with Parallels. I just downloaded PT4 and when I hit connect on the Configure PostgreSQL Server it says : Unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration.

What next ?

Did you already have PostgreSQL installed or did PT4 install it for you?
If it was already installed, do you have PostgreSQL installed in Windows or on the Mac host?

Yes, if you installed PT3 on your Mac then PostgreSQL will be on the Mac.
In that case you need to specify the "Server" as your Mac's IP address - there is something else you may need to change too, as described here.

Tried the IP address. Did not work. Same with router address.

Did you follow the linked directions to set up networking?
Kraada will be back later and he knows way more about this kind of thing so he may have something else to suggest and if you're still having problems please post back.
