HUD problem on Pokerstars

Postby canirebuy81 » Sun Dec 09, 2012 10:23 pm

Whenever I select start getting hands it brings up an error message.

'A file required for proper operation was not found. Please check your that anti-virus and security software has not removed them.'

This started when I updated to the new beta version.
I tried removing my Anti-virus and the HUD began working again for a while and then stopped. I re-installed my AV and still no good.

What AV and firewall do you use?
Check our Firewall Guide to make sure you have exceptions configured as necessary, and then run the installer again to make sure you have all the necessary files.

If you have problems again after that please open a Support Ticket and report your problem so that we can see what is going on and work with you to resolve it.

I use Bullguard, unfortunately I dont think Bullguard is mentioned on your support page.

The problem appears when PS is opened. Whether thats immediately when the get hands button is clicked or after I open PS. This makes me think its a problem with my AV blocking connection between the two programs.

You should be able to temporarily disable Bulldog - if you do that, do things work?

If I disable the firewal etc then no it still doesnt work. However, as I earlier mentioned, when I uninstalled Bullguard and re-downloaded the beta it worked for a short while and then stopped.

It sounds like it has probably blocked the file we need for Zoom support. Do you play Zoom? If not, you can just untick "Enable Zoom Support" in Configure --> Sites & Import Options -> PokerStars and that should get rid of this message.

Right, turn that off then and this error should go away. The blocked file is almost certainly the one used for Zoom support.

The Zoom Hud option only affects the Hud on Zoom tables, so the Hud should still work at other tables.

Are the hands importing as you play?
