PostgreSQL is required for PT4 to function properly - you'll need to reinstall it for things to work. If you want to maintain your databases you had in PT4 you'll need to install the same version and not to have deleted your data folder. Our uninstall/reinstall guides can be found
here.

i don't want to maintain any of my databases, i actually want to start from scratch.
and i have installed and uninstalled different versions of postgres, including the one that i first used.
and i did everything according the uninstall/reinstall guides

do you guys have some kind of priority support? i have lost a lot of time on this already. would be happy to pay for quick help, maybe someone could do the uninstall/reinstall together with me with teamviewer.

If you have fully uninstalled PostgreSQL including all the data then the databases have been deleted and all you need to do is to tell PT4 that they no longer exist by selecting them in Database > Database Management and clicking 'Remove'.

That database needs its cache rebuilt then - that's in Database Management -> Rebuild Cache and you'll want to do a Full Cache Rebuild. Depending on your database size this can take a very long time so it may be best to let it run overnight.
