hello

Few days ago I had issue with PT4 . Unfortunately I had a bad reaction, i uninstalled PT4 and postgres. And when i tried to reinstall them, it's ok for PT4 but when i have to create a new database, there's an error message telling me"No local postgres server found installed on port 5432"

i tried without my firewall, it's not working...

Click Start type services.msc and click on it when it appears. Do you see PostgreSQL in the service list? If so is it running?

My windows 7 did some updates today and now PT4 cant connect to database. I stopped postgressql via services.msc but it doesn't help.

I love this shit when something doesn't work anymore suddenly. I dont wanna lose my database and hands, so I wont reinstall postgresql.

Anyone already solved this problem? Yes, I also followed the FAQ and deleted the postmaster.pid file and restartet my computer. :/

"Automatic" it says, when you click on "Start" it says

"..was started on local host and then stopped. Some 'Programs' (dont know how to translate that better) will be stopped automatically, if they are not used by any program.

Click Start type Event Viewer and click on it when it appears. Expand Windows Logs then click Application. You should see an error for PostgreSQL in the top center pane. Click on it and look in the bottom pane and tell me what the error message says.

If it's not in the list, PostgreSQL was not successfully installed. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling PostgreSQL one more time per our guides here and make a note of any error messages you receive.

First one has to do with "time..." takes too much time ...

and the other one:

could not create TCP/IP sockets.

Does that help? :(
