Popups and database issues

Hi guys,

So my database has like 11 gb and I think is too big, I guess this is the reason why sometimes my popups don't show any results during some hands.
What is your advices to reduce the database size? Purging hands? I think this option takes too long. Create a new database? But Iam going to lose a lot of players info... I don't mind losing half of this database at least but whats your advice? Should I start one from scratch?

If you want to remove a large proportion of the hands like that it will definitely be faster to create a new database and re-import than to purge - as you say, purging can take a long time for large purges. (That will allow you to keep your original database for reference too.)
You can re-import from the original hand histories if you have them separated or sorted by date, or you could export hands of your choosing (filtered by date for example).

Thanks for the advices White Rider.

I started a new database and just imported 1 month just to see how long it will take. Already imported the hands and tournnament summaries, however I have this image for almost 3hours!

It takes all this time? I need to import at least 3 months if is going to take this long I´ll have to pass...

There's a bug in the current release such that the progress bar animation will keep running, but if it says imported completed below then it's done and that won't affect anything else - you can carry on using PT4.

Hi,

Again, got a few problems. I have created a new database as I said but after I did that I have set this new database has default/active. After todays session hands were imported to the old database and nothing to the new database. Basically this is frustrating. Note tracker is a mess too, all players have double stats like: call 2 bet from the blinds with A6o, call 2 bet from the blinds with A6o. All players have double information.
How I can fix all this? I have deleted all automatic notes on note tracker but nothing change, I have double information on each player.

The old database wasn´t active but I´ve deleted her and seems that the "double information" on note tracker on each players has gone and the hands are being imported to the new one now. So, I have always to delete the old database? I thought I could keep her...

No you do not need to do that but the trouble you were having would have been caused by the following.

In "Configure -> Site & Import Options -> Preferences" you should make sure the "Databases" boxes both have "Current Active Database" in them.

The HUD can read from multiple databases so click "HUD -> Edit HUD Options -> General Settings -> Advanced" and remove all check marks except for the one by the current database name. Click "Apply" and "OK" to save the change.

Huge thanks for all the help guys.

just to not open an unnecessary topic, I have a doubt... Is it possible to convert NoteTracker notes from cash to tourneys. I know they are diferent and some are not going to work properly but I have some of that I did myself that are going to work nicely in tourneys cause the seats are the same. So is there a way to convert or I must do them again from scratch for tourneys?

It isn't currently possible to convert notes between cash and tournament because the filters for cash and tournament are distinct so they will need to be recreated. The development team are aware of this request and it's possible this option will be added at some point in the future.

Ok mate,

Another one if you don´t mind: Is it possible to exclude 6 max tables in NoteTracker when creating a note? I am doing opening ranges non all in from UTG, MP etc but HJ is MP in 6 man and MP is UTG in 6 max tourneys... If I put players dealt into the hand between 6 and 6 or something like that and then "NOT" NoteTracker is not going to collect hands when there´s 6 players on the tables even in a full ring game... Is theres other way? Maybe in tounment discriptions and then "NOT" would that work?
