Tournament Names

Hi,

Is there a way to make it such that after I import hands and tournament summary from GGPoker, the tournament description column automatically shows the tournament name as the tournament description? If not, could this be made a thing in the next update?

I don't want to edit the tournament description manually, that would be ridiculous since I would expect PT4 to do it automatically.

Currently, what happens is that it seems to try to auto-detect and give a tournament description, but the description is often wrong. I tested by adding all the tournament descriptions before I imported them, and it just gave random and wrong descriptions.

Tournament names are not stored in the current database schema but if you have tournaments that are being detected incorrectly please attach a sample of the original hand history/tournament summary files from your poker site to a Support Ticket so we can see if there is enough information in them to update the tournament detection rules.

It's not that I have tournaments that are detected incorrectly, but rather I want a feature where the "Tournament Desc" column on PT4 shows the tournament title (name) as the tournament description. For example, in GGPoker, there are different tournaments named Daily Hyper $1, Daily Turbo $1, Daily Big $1, etc.

I figured that the "Tournament #" column in PT4 for GGPoker tournaments is derived from the tournament summaries or hand histories because they include tournament ID. Since GGPoker tournament summaries and hand histories also include the tournament title (as shown in the attachment highlighted in yellow), surely there is a way to make the "Tournament Desc" column use the tournament title by using the same mechanism the "Tournament #" column derives its values.

As per my original reply tournament names are not stored in the current database schema so that wouldn't be possible but I'll pass your suggestion on for you to the development team and move this thread to the feature request forum.
