When I'm reading through the column definitions, and I see something like this:

cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_check AND cash_hand_player_statistics.cnt_f_raise

does that mean it's looking for instances when there was a player who checked the flop and a player who raised the flop, or instances when one player checked the flop and then the SAME player raised the same flop?

Everything refers to the same player - all stats are purely from a single player's point of view. So in that case the player check/raised the flop.
