dumb question

Postby sonikvault » Thu Nov 22, 2012 1:40 pm

I suppose this is a pretty stupid question but I'm new to this kind of program so bare with me. I'm wondering why the stats in the result section are showing negative C net won and my graphs make me look like a big time losing player when I'm up almost a grand in the couple of weeks that I started this new site. Sharkscope has it right but for some reason when I look at these stats it looks like I've been getting killed.
Thanks for your patience

Are you playing tournaments?
What site do you play at?
Quite a few sites don't provide any tournament results information, in which case PT4 has no way to know how much you won or lost. In most cases we can infer this from the hand histories for single table tournaments, but for MTTs it normally isn't possible.

Yeah I'm playing MTTs on cake, - so I suppose what's happening is that they are either calculating my starting chip stack as cash or calculating my original buy-in and that's why a second place finish in a 60$ buy in shows up as a pretty big net loss.
Is there a way of rectifying that or should I just ignore the graphs in the tournament section.
I guess I should look more closely at all the tutorials since I'm quite a bit older and more of a brick and mortar player... hahha trying to make a transition - see how that goes.
Thanks for the swift reply... if there's anything else I should know please feel free to give me a heads up.
Cheers

Unfortunately until Cake start writing results information to their hand histories you'll need to enter your results manually. You can do that by going to the Results page (under View Stats > T) and clicking the Edit Tournament Results button in the sidebar (or right click an individual tournament you want to update and choose Edit Tournament Results).

Re: dumb question ANOTHER Q/PROB

Postby sonikvault » Fri Nov 30, 2012 9:52 am

My HUD is not appearing on the screen. I'm on a trial version since I'm testing both HM2 and PT4. I configured everything the way it was explained but when I "autodetect" it says: PT4 can not find any skins from the revolution network. When I manually add it nothing happens. I'm playing (I guess) on what used to be HAHApoker which was on the merge but recently moved to Cake. the icon on my computer simply names it ONLINEpoker. Is there something I'm doing wrong or would that be the issue? HM2's HUD does appear on the other hand. Everything else I prefer PT4, but without the HUD it's basically useless since that's what I really use this program for.

What version of PT4 are you currently using? If it's not our latest beta - 4.05.7 - please upgrade to that version and that should fix things for you. If it is, please take a look at our Revolution Configuration Guide and that should help you get things configured. The HUD definitely should be working.

alright thanks, upgrading did the trick. I have another problem/question... first - there's no way of minimizing the size of the player statistics is there? It's covering a massive part of the screen and blocking other players chip stack. I was able to select the option where the 'HUD' or player stats would appear only when my mouse scrolled over it but for hours I've been trying to do what I had done and nothing seems to work. (I donked out of like 5 MTTs already 'cause I keep fooling around with the HUD options ... lol) I clicked HUD, edit hud profiles and the option for the mouse and opacity but that didn't make much of a difference.
Thanks again for your help... if I can get the HUD to be comfortable in terms of the visual layout I'm going to choose PT4 over HM2- everything else is quite straight forward and user friendly.

Firstly, just to make sure you're aware you can move the Hud on the table either by holding the control key down and dragging, or using the PT-icon > Unlock option then dragging. Either way, be sure to PT-icon > Save Layout when you're done.

If you want to make the size of the stats smaller go to the Hud editor and select the profile you're using. Click in the Group Items list and press control-A to select all stats, then change the Font property to update all stats at once.

This post explains the 'lower opacity until mouse-over' option.

Click the grey monitor icon in the bottom corner of the profile editor to watch the tutorial videos for more information.
