I am playing 6 max and I have chosen a prefered seat. The mucked cards do not appear with the correct player. I checked the mucked card tab in the pull-down and locked the layout. This does nothing for the problem. Is there a way around my problen?

Yes they match. It is just the mucked cards.

Nol they don't appear for the correct player. I mis-spoke. I have to manually put them with the correct player.

Then it sounds like your preferred seat isn't configured properly. Please see this documentation on Preferred Seating and that should help you get things set up properly.
