Feature Questions

Are there plans to allow one to create Notetracker definitions that output results in the (opportunities for action to occur / action occurred format)? For example, I would like to create a note that is called "Raise flop cbet in position is strong", with strong being defined by me as TPTK or better. The note would output the following: Raise flop cbet IP is strong: 15/34 (44%). I would like to use implied strength in the note definition as well, ie, if the player raised the flop cbet, and shoved over a flop 3bet, that would be included in the note definition as both an opportunity and action occurrence.

Really, what I am asking is are there plans in place to expand the functionality of Notetracker to match that of Notecaddy? I have used both PT4 and HM2, and find PT4 to be a vastly superior product in virtually every respect. I currently use PT3 and Notecaddy, and there are large numbers of notes such as the one I outlined above that I have come to rely very heavily on. I REALLY do not want to switch to HM2, but the notes I use are so valuable to me that they trump the fact that PT4 is so much better than HM2.

You could build implied strength now, it just takes a bit of work - the easiest way is to use not(fold on flop) and not(fold on turn) and not(fold on river) and not(call on flop) and not(call on turn) and not(call on river) - everything else implies strength.

Thanks for the quick reply. Are there plans to make that series of filters into an actual single filter option? Also, my question was really a few questions in one, would you mind rereading and expanding a bit in your answer?

Adding opportunities is something we are discussing internally and we may get to it eventually, but I can't say for certain or even for certain when that would be. Keep in mind that NoteTracker comes for free with PT4 but NoteCaddy is its own software with its own developer, so as much as we would love to be more fully featured than they are. We intend to continue adding new features, of course, though right now we are working towards stability and a commercial release of PT4 - new features will be on hold until after that point.

I'll make a note to discuss the "implied strength" and "implied weakness" filters internally and we'll see what we can do for you there.

Any word as to whether or not you are going to expand NoteTracker's functionality to match that of Notecaddy, or at least come close? I really, really don't want to switch to HM2 since the rest of the program is garbage, but PT3 is starting to show its age.

We are definitely not done with the NoteTracker functionality.

I know you guys hate to do this, but can you give me an approximate time frame? I know I am being a pain in the ass, but it is going to take 40 to 50 hours of work to switch to HM2, and I really don't want to do that if NoteTracker's functionality is going to be upgraded in the near future.

I'm afraid I can't do that as much as I wish I could.

Any update as to time frame on expanding Note Tracker's functionality to match that of Notecaddy? I am still using PT3 + Notecaddy, and I keep putting off switching to HM2 because I REALLY would prefer to use PT4 + Upgraded Note Tracker.
