Notetracker for pokerstars

Hi, I tried playing around with notetracker on PT4 for pokerstars and read through some of the threads on this forum. However I'm still clueless as to how notetracker works and can't find any information on it aside from this forum. Any ideas on how I could get started on notetracker? Even a beginner's tutorial to notetracker would help massively!

Thanks!!!!

We're working on tutorials, they're just not ready yet for that feature.

But the basic idea is this: NoteTracker takes notes for you on opponents in situations you specify. If you look at the defaults in the cash game side it should give you a basic idea of some of the things that you can do. For example, you can have NoteTracker take a note when a player 3Bets and you know his hand - and then it will show you that he 3bet with that particular hand in the past. Using NoteTracker to help you figure out an opponent's range is a very powerful tool, but you can also use it to keep track of times an opponent did something that is just very strange as well (for example, folding when getting 2 to 1 or more on the rest of the money in his stack or some such).

Everything is done using our filter mechanism, so when a player matches a filter set as defined the note is taken. You can feel free to create test notes and test them on the Test page - play around with it, I promise you can't break anything :)

Thanks Krada, but I just spent the last hour or 2 playing around with it and having no luck!

First question is: When creating a new 'Auto Note' - can you only apply one set of filter? Do I have to make two different 'Auto Notes' if for example in HUSNG: 1) I want to make a note on everytime the opponent 3-bet shoved and I called (hence we know his hand) AND 2) the type of hands opponent limps in the SB (and we get to showdown.

Secondly, I can't find any walk through on exactly how to create a filter correctly and I can't figure it out myself. So I guess I just need a very simple example i.e. creating a filter for hands that opponent 3 bets us with in HUSNG and we get to showdown. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

Yes that would be two separate notes. Take a look at the examples on the cash side of things and that should show you a lot about how some samples are built.

To create a rule that shows you a player's range when he 3Bets Preflop all you need to do is click the Player button go into Actions and Opportunities -> Preflop -> Raises and turn on a filter for 3Bet.

Then in the text to take use:
3Bets Preflop with {cardrange}

{cardrange} is a special variable that gives the values of all hands shown down when the filters match. So the showdown part will be implied. Since these are HUSNGs it'll always be against you since you won't have data on him otherwise.

K I have a note "3bet hero" also have cardrange variable in note.
Notetracker only shows those times when villain goes to showdown. Is there a way I can have it show every time and the cardrange when he does showdown. Stat would show as "P 3bethero 5 (AK, KK,)" where he 3 bet me PF 5 times and showed down AK & KK --other times he did not showdown or I may have folded.

You'd have to do it as a separate note but you can. Just remove {cardrange} and the note will be taken every time it happens and you'll get the count in ()s at the end.
