Better Way of Displaying Info Discovered by NoteTracker

I find the text only way in which the information is presented difficult to make good use of when playing multiple tables.

A couple of suggestions.

1) Ability to separate out "notes" and connected to various action related stats, rather than have them all displayed via the notes window. e.g Ability to set a special pop-up to 3bet preflop stat, which contains all the automatic notes related to preflop 3betting (and allow one to configure this to include whatever note definitions would like).

2) Ability to display via charts / graphs. I am sure you are aware of the competition and their so called spark graphs. Something along this would be a massive improvement.

We eventually have plans to revisit NoteTracker and look to improving its functionality. Thank you for your suggestions; we shall take them into consideration when we are ready to revisit these functions.

I just figured out how to extract a string from a player's autonote into a HUD stat. This would mean that -using conditional formatting- you could display the data in an autonote ( or the presence of an autonote) for a specific situation in your HUD, formatted to the way of your liking.

Unfortunately it's stupidly slow. From several to hundreds of seconds per query. You probably wouldn't want to kill your hud with this.

So I guess we're stuck waiting for an official solution. Or a time when table notes_auto gets JOINed in the queries generated, after which this would work perfectly fine.

Notetracker is very important and I would considering revisiting it with some winning regs at SS and MS, I guess most of your customers are not highstakes players and highstakes players have only few needs and those usually differ from what you need at SS and MS, cause most of their opponents are regs, while we have to handle with lots of new players all day long. Highstakes player have to deal with 1 to 10 new players per month (depending how high they play), we have to deal with 20 new players per day.

Hi!

Can I ask the code of the stat, which writes the autonote in the hud? The whole hud will be slow, or only the autonotes appear later?

Thanks

I'm not exactly certain what you're asking; NoteTracker works backwards on hands from the newest to the oldest, so you get data from the newest hands first. It runs in the background whenever hands are importing and as soon as the data is calculated, it's available in the HUD.

I'm curious about this code from pasita.

I use an extended HUD in HU, and I'd like to put some important cardrange from the autonote directly in the HUD to spare time.

Not sure if you'd spare time... it does take me 5 minutes to get the info displayed on a full table.

When I run the query in pgl, it takes something like 70 000 to 80 000 ms, ie. 70-80 seconds per person. All these figures are dependent on the size of your db and how many hands you have on the player. (This would take about 20 milliseconds if PT changed the generated query just a bit, in a way that would actually make sense... this would be highly usable at that point.)

All the other stats seem to load first, but I suppose it leaves quite a load in the postgres server, i.e. if you had several tables open, there could be a ton of these queries running and updating in the background. Maybe it wouldn't be a huge issue with HUHU, though.

Also, to get something useful out of this, you'd likely need to be able to do some regexp stuff in the query (the column), or some formatting magic at the stat, don't know which would be easier, depends on your needs.

To make this really useful, you should probably build your own extra hud with AHK or something, you could get the data instantly. Or convince PT to make the fix in the code. Not sure which one would be the easier task.

Anyway, if you're sure you're not about to shoot yourself in the foot AND feel comfortable with regexp and pgadmin (to make the stat really meet your needs) you can contact me via PM, I don't wish to cause a rush to PT support over this.

Hmm..okay, however, it may usable the autonote window in this case.

The autonote window orders in ABC, so if you take some space to the front of the name of the important notes, they will on the top of the list, and you will find e.g. the HU stats easier. I don't have better idea.
