player vs opponent

Postby pepsin » Sat Feb 16, 2013 7:21 am

New to notetracker. I'm confused regarding "player" and "opponent". If I'm creating a note for a HU situation does it really matter whether I am player or opponent as long as I want that note to be counted both for me and villain? Also, I don't see the point of setting "player" or "opponent" to "is hero", as it makes no difference... Or?

"Player" is the player that the note is being taken on.
"Opponent" is any other player in the hand.

In most cases your filters will be under "Player". e.g. If you're making a note that a player made a particular action, then that goes under "Player".
If you want to know that someone else made a particular action in the hand then that would go under "Opponent".

As an example: if you want a note that says the player bet on the flop when their opponent had an opportunity to CBet but checked, you would add a "Player" filter for betting the flop and an "Opponent" filter for having a CBet opportunity and checking.
