Notetracker delay

Hi Guys!

Recently I have been experementing with notetracker.
I noticed that it takes several hands to HUD's note icon turn yellow (signaling that there is a note which was spoted several hands ago).

Can you explain a bit why there is this delay? Some times it takes 4-5 hands to process, making this note less usefull especialy at final tables.

As far as I'm aware, it should turn yellow as soon as the note is processed. Are you seeing the note processed before the color changes?

No, I don't see any auto-notes.

Indicator (turning yellow) by itself works ok.

It is the delay of note processing what's I don't understand. E.g. the particular hand was dealt 4-5 hands ago before auto-notes posted and icon turns yellow.

NoteTracker processes hands in the background so that it doesn't interfere with the rest of PT4's operations. I wouldn't expect it to be far behind but if you're playing a lot of tables, or your computer isn't that fast, then it could take a little while.

After I have modified/create new NT rules it takes easily 5 hours+ before I see the respective updates in the replayer hud notes, even though the status tab indicates 100% of notes have been processed, plus my entire db is 12k hands.

Is this a bug or computer speed issue if so what's the biggest factor re: computer speed cpu/ram/ssd?

Did you purge the notes first? You need to purge after you add a new definition if you want old hands reprocessed with that new definition.

ah missed that step, it's a shame that it needs to be purged, the last one I did took 9+ hours to complete, again 12k hand db.

Is the 9+ hours typical to purge and reprocess a 12k hand db? I've just read that it took someone a few hours for 600k db, for NL I assume, I'm playing PLO but that's still a massive difference (DB's on an SSD, i7, 4gb ram)

The amount of time depends significantly on what rules you have active and the processing speed of your computer. Regardless, the notes are processed for most recent hands first and they are processed in the background while playing so even if all hands haven't been processed you will have the most important information first and the new hands will be given priority over finishing up old hands, so you don't need to worry about getting every hand processed quite that much.
