Missing SNGs

Postby nemesis1 » Tue Sep 23, 2014 5:15 am

Hello,

After noticing about 20% of my SNG database of the past month had 'finished in 0th place' stats, or said it was a 25 player tournament while it clearly was a 27 player tournament, i started reviewing if pokertracker made more mistakes.

Yesterday i played exactly 15 SNGs, but in my pokertracker i see only 13. I removed all filters and still i only see 13 of them. I do not use the 'Auto close tournament' function in pokerstars to auto-close a lost sng/tournament..
Im playing on a Macbook Pro, trial version of PT4 and i play on Pokerstars, regular SNG's. I'm about to switch to a brand new Windows machine, so if PT4 doesnt work out i will just be forced to the HM2 camp.

Can somebody please tell me how i can fix this problem of unreliability?
I'm trying to built up a 1000+ sng database of different types of games to find out which game i will probably run best at, with unreliable stats this gets very hard..

One more question:
I requested all my hands histories from the past week through the pokerstars lobby, i get an e-mail with 1 big hand history file. Which steps should i take to get this imported in PT4? copy/pasting the text in a Textedit file and importing that file didnt work.

Are you playing at PokerStars? If so you can request a Playing Audit through their client in CSV format and PT4 will import it to get things correct historically.

Going forward you want to have PokerStars save your tournament summaries and have PT4 import those as well. You can find this under Options -> Tournament Summary Options in PokerStars (just tick the box to save it, make sure it's in English, and click OK). Then in PT4 go to Configure -> Sites & Import Options -> PokerStars and all you'll likely need to do is click Auto Detect and everything should be good.

Hi Kraada,

Thanks for your reply.

As stated, i play at pokerstars. I didn't request playing audit, but i requested hand history files from the past week, which got sent by text in an e-mail. How should i save this to import it to PT4 (on a Mac)?

About the playing audit, how do i import the CSV file?

When i go to my 'configure' menu in PT4, it says Stars isn't installed, but it does autodetect the correct Handhistory folder (and of course Stars is installed..) do you have any idea how this is possible?
About what you said about going to options > tournament summary options in Stars, is this the same as 'Save Hand history'? or Is this an entirely different option/checkbox in the pokerstars lobby?

What i think is strange: why would 13 out of 15 SNG's get through import perfect, and 2 SNG's don't? All were regular 9 seat SNG's, same buyin.

Save the file from your email anywhere on your computer that you can get to easily. Go into PT4 and go to Play Poker and click Get Hands From Disk. Choose "Select File" and choose the saved file. It will import. The same works for the CSV audit file.

It can happen that sometimes PT4 can't detect the installation location. In that case just click Add and choose the folder where the tournament summaries are being saved to manually. As long as the configuration matches it will work even if PT didn't autodetect the configurations.

Tournaments are very complicated animals; I couldn't speculate why those two didn't import properly. But once everything is set up as we've discussed they should import properly going forward.
